Pore Perfect

I love beauty products, but I do not love the prices. Through Pinterest I found a do-it-yourself pore strip recipe on Petit Elefant. Two ingredients! I can handle that. I figured I'd give it a go, I just needed to grab the gelatin from the store, which I did earlier today. I always have milk on hand. One envelope of the gelatin is almost a tablespoon. I added the milk and stirred as instructed. I think I should have added a little more milk. I microwaved it for 15 seconds and then I was ready to apply. I grabbed an old makeup brush and went to work. Let me just say, with my microwave, 15 seconds was too long. The first brushful I applied was way to hot! Allison, the author of the of the original post, was not joking when she said to work fast, as the gelatin does begin to firm up in no time. I tried to work quickly, so I'm going to say that's the reason I did a lousy job covering my trouble spots. Peeling off the mask was a lot of fun. I did get too close to my eye on the left side of my face. Peeling that piece off was uncomfortable. My skin does feel nice and smooth, and you can definitely see my pores look better! Things I need to remember for next time. 1. Use more milk. 2. Don't microwave as long. 3. Do a better job applying the mask. I'm happy with the entire process as well as the results. I'll be doing this again!

Copy Cat

I know I'm late to the party, but I've finally joined Pinterest. Since I really don't blog about anything worth reading, I've decided to change things up and let this blog be an account of my attempts at doing things I've pinned on Pinterst. Here's to hoping for some good results!
